The Bible in Stained Glass – Dome in the Sky

Window 3: Dome in the Sky

In this window, the sky and the waters of the earth are divided by what Genesis calls “a dome in the midst of the waters.” A tiny piece of blue in the corner represents the creation of sky. The brown represents the earth and continues on to the fourth window.

Genesis 1:6-8 – “And God said, ‘Let there by a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.’ So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so. God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.”
